On Thursday, February 22, 2018, fifteen students at a school in Palawan, Phillipeans were dismissed from school early after a mysterious case of “possession” swept over them. According to the school’s principal, Vicente Tamanyo, it all started with two students who claimed they were being plagued with visions of a bloodied woman and began acting erratically. They claimed the spirit wanted to “get close to them” and soon more students (including the Principal’s son) began suffering the same supernatural malady.
According to witnesses, the children’s pupils changed, they exhibited “freakish strength”, and they began speaking in a strange language. The total of possessed children reached 15 before all classes were canceled and the affected were rushed to a Catholic church. Once inside the sacred space, the children were treated with prayer before being released back to their parents and taken home.
