The Dering Woods, also known as the Screaming Woods, are notorious for ghost stories and legends of the grisly sort. The village of Pluckley is situated near the forest and is considered to be among the most haunted in England.
Ann-Marie English, took her four children and her nephew out to the notorious Screaming Woods one late afternoon in April of 2019. It was their first time out there and they wanted to do a little ghost hunting and exploring.
It wasn’t until they got back home that Anne-Marie noticed a couple of anomalies.
She told Kent Live News: “It wasn’t until we got home and I was looking through the photos when I noticed the man standing watching behind the tree. I was like ‘oh that’s a bit weird’ and then my cousin noticed the little girl in the tree.”
“My older children were more freaked out by it. “
According to Ann-Marie, they didn’t experience anything paranormal during their visit – though it certainly seems they attracted an audience.
