American Horror Stories, the anthology horror spinoff from American Horror Story, has a second season on the way to get us all in the mood for ‘Spooky Season.’ FX on Hulu announced the premiere date for American Horror Stories season 2 will be Thursday, July 21, 2022. American Horror Stories Season 2 Trailer, Episodes, & Cast List Below!
The unsettling trailer boasts a new nightmare each week. And they aren’t kidding! The first episode alone looks like an uncanny valley night-terror of someone who passed out to true crime docs (and I mean that in the best way possible). It’s a swirl of serial killers, demonic entities, doll heads… someone in a bunny mask? A mortician, a little too passionate about her work. A weirdo doll collector filling a dollhouse with porcelain and human dolls.
The stories in the second season of this horror anthology:
- Dollhouse written by Manny Coto
- Necro written by Crystal Liu
- Aura written by Manny Coto
- Drive written by Manny Coto
- Bloody Mary written by Angela L. Harvey
- Facelift written by TBA
- Milkmaids written by TBA
- Lake written by TBA
Cast members often take on multiple roles within the AHS universe.
The same faces have appeared in multiple seasons of American Story, throughout American Horror Stories Season 1 … and in some cases both. Actors returning to the fold include fan favorites Denis O’Hare, Gabourey Sidibe, Cody Fern, Max Greenfield, and Nico Greetham.
There are some amazing new additions to the AHS universe this season: Alicia Silverstone, Bella Thorne, and Dominique Jackson. Judith Light, (yes, Angela from Who’s the Boss), as well as Quvenzhané Wallis and Madison Iseman.
“Dollhouse” will be the first episode to drop. We just may find the doll collector, played by Denis O’ Hare, is connected to his AHS S3 Coven character. The mute butler and mega creeper Spalding, that also had a thing for dolls. Remember? His tea parties? Heebie jeebies!
