We are now accepting research topic suggestions and article submissions!
Topic Research Suggestions: If you have a hometown urban legend or spooky mystery you want to see us research and feature on UnsettlingThings, just send us the Who, What, When, & Where and we’ll try to pull up all the Why’s and How’s.
Article Submissions: Feel free to send us pitches or fully fleshed out articles anytime. Ideally, articles should be between 600 and 1500 words, but longer pieces are accepted on occasion. All submissions (except creepypasta) MUST be your original work and not previously published.
Payments are not given for contributions. However, you retain all rights to your original work and we do give credit within the posts and promote through social media.
Topics may include:
- All things supernatural: haunted houses, ghost stories, curses, cryptids, and possession.
- UFO and abduction accounts
- True crime and dark historical accounts
- CreepyPasta (your personal favorites or original works are both accepted).
- Folklore/ Urban Legends: We especially love obscure small town local legends. If there’s some spooky story folks have been passing down for generations, we want to hear about it!
